Is Zoom the golden age of speaking?

After 18 months of too many online meetings, there doesn't seem to be anything golden about zoom (or whatever platform you use). In fact, Zoom fatigue is rampant. We are not loving the online experience.

But here's the thing. The big issue with online speaking is not just that it's a different animal. It's that online speaking magnifies everything. All of your weaknesses as a speaker.

So the upside is, if you become a better speaker, you could actually begin to thrive online. And, you'll be stronger once you're back in person.

Okay, maybe zoom isn't the golden age of speaking. But it could lead to it. As the song goes: “If you can make it there, you'll make it anywhere…"

You want to be a better online speaker? Become a better speaker. Period.
